Photographing with Natural Light in Falls Park

In my September 8, 2011 post  http://noblecoastphotographyblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/love-to-learn.html I wrote about how there is always something new to learn in the world of digital photography. I try to attend workshops that are taught by photographers and artists who share their knowledge and provide me with priceless insight into their art and business.

I had a great time when I attended a workshop with Eddie Tapp  http://www.eddietapp.com/  and Judy Host  http://www.judyhost.com/ . Eddie Tapp is a Master Photographer, Explorer of Light for Canon Camera and a hall of fame Photoshop Expert.  Judy Host is one of today's top child photographer with studios in Northern California and Atlanta Georgia.

We met at beautiful Falls Park  www.fallspark.com/  located in downtown Greenville, SC. The weather cooperated and we were able to shoot on a beautiful sunny autumn day. We had kids, couples, models, and families and they were all great to photograph. I spent alot of the day learning from Judy and working with her natural light techniques. I  enjoyed seeing how Judy worked with the children and got them to naturally pose themselves.

I also had some time to watch Eddie Tapp set up his light strobes in the park. Eddie combined the strobes with natural light and demonstrated how to create stunning outdoor photographs of the beautiful models. Eddie and Judy both took time to work with all of us individually to help improve our techniques or help with any questions we had.

Here are some of my photographs I took of Rylie during the workshop. You can see the different natural lighting we were able to capture during the course of the day. Rylie really enjoyed being photographed and was so great to work with.

Thanks for reading the blog and I hope you enjoyed the photos.

See you next week!

Peace

John
