Good Morning Baby Boy

My grandson, Andrew,  at five weeks old. Andrew has now become one of my favorite portrait subjects. He poses for me when ever I have a camera in hand.

While walking around one of my favorite cities, I strolled through one of my favorite parks, and found this young couple taking a selfie at my favorite place in the park.

September Baby Part 2

As a follow up from the August 29,2012 Blog "September Baby", Andrew John made his entrance into our world September 5. Andrew is our third grandchild, all boys, from my two boys, alot of boys in the family! Congratulations Liz and Keith!

For me, I find black and white photographs create memorable pieces when photographing newborn babies.

Baby Harry

I try to keep the blog about interesting subjects that provide photographic opportunities. The blog is not intended to be a personal journal but more of a platform to share my work. Today's blog may cross over into personal but it's a story I'd like to share.

Please welcome Harry to our world! Harry is my second grand child, also second grand son. After having 2 boys of my own, I guess it's a somewhat familiar feeling that I now have 2 grandsons. With a third grandson due in September, I feel the Costenoble boys have been destined to carry on the name, but maybe one day a little girl. Perhaps next time!

For me, it's just special to see your son holding his baby boy!

Thanks for viewing the blog and have a great week!

Newborn Black and White photography

I have received several positive comments on my black and photography lately. Thank you! I had a previous blog post
( http://noblecoastphotographyblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/black-and-white-photography-yesterday.html ), where I shared some thoughts on Black and White photography.

In this week's blog I am posting my black and white photographs from a recent newborn photography session. I think these timeless photographs would work well individually matted and framed or together in a framed newborn collage.

Thanks for viewing my blog and wish everyone a great week!

Peace,

John

Maternity Photography

I do enjoy baby photography, but before baby arrives it's wonderful to photograph Mom with baby. Maternity photography is an enjoyable and memorable experience for Moms and Dads. The maternity photographs will always be there for Mom and Dad to help remind them of the early time together with baby.

When planning a maternity photograph session I know I will want to create a story with timeless black and white images. The location of the photograph session always plays an important role in the story. When we photographed Casey, we found a magnificent old tree to work with. The tree worked so well with Casey and the black and white photos.

I hope you enjoyed my maternity photography.

Thanks for viewing the blog and see you next week!

Peace

John

Baby Photography in Studio

Who doesn't love babies?? I recently had the pleasure of photographing 4 month old Adler. Adler had lots of energy and that made it a fun baby photograph session. I always plan on a longer session when photographing newborns and infants. You have to be prepared for a stop and go session with the baby. Besides keeping the studio warm, I'm keeping plenty of towels, blankets and an assortment of wipes on hand.

When photographing a newborn or baby, I work to get an assortment of baby awake and sleeping. I also want to offer selections of black and white photographs. Black and white newborn photographs appear timeless to me.

Here are some of the baby photos from my session with Adler.

If you enjoyed the photos and my blog, please let me know. Also, please feel free to share my blog and photos with anyone who may enjoy them.

See you next week!
